About me
I have always been in love with words and languages, so becoming a translator was a natural choice for me. After having worked over 12 years in publishing, university administration and language teaching, and 2 years as an in-house translator at a publishing house in Madrid, Spain, I felt ready to start a career as a freelance translator in 2015.
Concerning my academic background, I have earned a Master's degree in Audiovisual Translation (Spanish, English, French) and realized a postgraduate program in Legal Translation and Interpreting (Spanish-German).
In 2017, I have been authorized by the "Behörde für Inneres" (authority for internal affairs) of Hamburg, Germany, as a sworn translator and interpreter for the Spanish language. That entitles me to do certified translations that will be officially recognized by courts and public authorities.
Besides, I turn my passion for literature into a profession and specialize meanwhile not only in certified/legal translation but also in literary translation.
In my opinion, the most beautiful aspect of my job is that a good translation opens a window to another culture and helps people overcome language barriers.
